Soft Skills
As a member of the Graduate School you will have the chance to improve your academic expertise as well as your personal skills. We offer language courses in English and German to equip you for your daily encounter with German bakeries, libraries and much more but also prepare you for your presentations in English at international conferences. There will also be a number of workshops on anything from management and rhetorics trainings to time management seminars and talking to the media. The topics of the soft skills seminars are adjusted according to the wishes and needs of our students. Usually several seminars are offered per semester. The number of participants is limited to ensure productive skill acquisition in small groups. Spaces will usually be assigned on a first-come first-serve basis. We try to make sure we have a good cross-section of participants. Child care can be arranged for the time of the workshops.
